Congratulations to Second Grade Teacher Stephanie Crump who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Region 5 Outstanding Elementary Teacher and one of the five finalists for the FCPS Outstanding Elementary Teacher at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.
Stephanie, a graduate of McLean High School, has served the Canterbury Woods Community as an early childhood educator for over twenty years. She instills a love of learning in students by igniting creativity and giving academic choices while providing scaffolds and supports to encourage students to take risks. Recognized as a strategy keeper for the Kennedy Center’s CETA Program, Stephanie utilizes arts integration strategies to engage and educate her students. Stephanie fosters positive relationships with her current and former students, their families and her colleagues. As one colleague shared, “We have been fortunate and blessed to know her and be in her corner. This includes staff, parents, and most of all children! This is a celebration for all of us.”
