On Tuesday, March 4th, the Woodson Math Honor Society visited with CWES 4th and 5th Grade students for an hour of activity! Students worked with fractions, adding and subtracting numbers, place value and rounding and other amazing mathematical games. It's always great to watch our students interact with fantastic Woodson students!

Canterbury Woods ES staff showed their support for the American Heart Association and wore red to raise awareness of the importance of Heart Health. Our school showed the most spirit and were the Red Challenge Winners!

CWES students and families shared their heritage through delicious food, beautiful displays, and amazing performances. It was a true celebration of our diverse community!

The Bike Bus hosted it's 2nd Annual Gratitude Ride in celebration of all they are thankful for this season. Students decorated flags to attach to their bikes and were guided through the neighborhood on their ride to school by Mr. Migdal, Mrs. Malkowski, and Mrs. White!

Congratulations to Mrs. Bruce on being awarded the FCPS 2024 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher award! Mrs. Bruce is an integral part of our physical education program and has been recognized for her outstanding performance and superior instruction skills.

Canterbury Woods Elementary School has been recognized by the VDOE as a Purple Star School.
