Performance/End Date: Thursday, May 7th, 2020(Price includes script, show royalties, materials, performance t-shirt, etc. Families who require financial assistance should contact Dr. Leipzig (@email) for confidential support by 12/13/19.) There are 30 spaces available for Drama club. Students who return this interest form by 12/13/19 will be entered into a lottery. We will notify you via email by 12/20/19 about student enrollment and request payment at this time.
Restaurant Night at Chipotle
Fairfax Chipotle (9506 Main Street, Fairfax) Wednesday, December 11 from 5-9 PM
Take a break from making dinner during the busy holiday season and support the CWES PTA!
- If we, as a community, spend over $300, Chipotle very generously will donate 33% of proceed revenue (the amount we spend) to CWES PTA!
- Present the Chipotle flyer to the cashier or show a picture of it on your phone. .
- Tell the cashier you're part of the CWES fundraiser.
Online orders do not count as part of our fundraiser revenue - you have to place the order at the restaurant.

AAP Full Time Level IV Referral Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that the deadline for referring students in Grades 2-7 for AAP full-time Level IV consideration is due no later than January 9, 2020. Parents are welcome to submit early, but no late referrals will be accepted. We advise parents not to wait for pending abilities test scores if they would like their student screened. While the Grade 2 screening pool casts a starting point for screening some students, test scores are only one factor in the eligibility decision.
If you would like more information about Level IV AAP services or the screening process for Level IV, there are two parent presentations available on the AAP public website that have the same information that was shared at our local school information meetings.
Referrals can be submitted to the Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, Andrea Warren (@email), at any time up through January 9.
Trex Film Recycling Challenge
CWES is trying to build our recycling efforts out to the community. We are entering a nationwide contest to recycle MORE plastic through the Trex Film Recycling Challenge . These are the everyday items that can be found in your home that usually end up in the trash. Look in your THT for a refrigerator magnet of the list of items so you know what to bring in. We will have green and white bins in the lobby to place the plastic items in! If we win the contest, the TREX company will build us a bench from the recycled plastic. Thank you for helping the Environmental Team make a greener community!

W.T. Woodson Band Holiday Tunes for Tots Concerts
Please join the W.T. Woodson Band for the annual Holiday Tunes performances. The Holiday Tunes for Tots 2019 concerts include a holiday music performance, joined by seasonal and all-around favorite characters.
Show times are on Wednesday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. and will be held in the Main Gymnasium. Admission is $5.00. Questions? Contact Anne Reed @email.
